🟒 Part 1: Layman & Trader Guide

1. What is the Live Stream Training Cockpit?

The Live Stream Training Cockpit is a dedicated real-time telemetry dashboard designed for public broadcast, institutional presentations, and live YouTube streaming.

While genetic algorithms evaluate millions of parameter permutations across historical price paths, the cockpit translates raw computational progress into an intuitive, high-resolution 1920Γ—1080 visual command deck.

Section 1: Phenotype Space (Top-Left)

  • What it shows: The risk-versus-opportunity distribution of evaluated genomes in the population.
  • Horizontal (X-Axis): Win Rate percentage (20% to 80%).
  • Vertical (Y-Axis): Net Ticks per Session ($-10\text{t}$ to $+30\text{t}$).
  • Traffic-Light Convention:
  • πŸ”΄ Red: Negative net expectancy ($< 0\text{t}$ per session).
  • 🟑 Yellow / Amber: Median performers ($0\text{t}$ to $+7.5\text{t}$ per session).

  • Allele Inspector: Decoded strategy genes (Trend bars, Reversal bars, Pullback ticks, ATR multiplier).

Section 4: Generation Stream & Milestones (Bottom-Left)

  • What it shows: Clean, non-scrolling event logs strictly formatted to 1 line per completed generation.
  • Milestone Alerts: Highlights repetition shifts, 50-generation milestones, and sounds an apex alert when a new all-time fitness record is shattered.

Section 5: Profit Over Time Β· Reigning Cell Apex Champion (Bottom-Right)

  • What it shows: The true cumulative equity curve of the active cell's #1 apex champion replayed across the full 2-year backtest horizon.
  • Phase Boundaries:
  • TRAIN β—€ | β–Ά OOS (TEST): Cyan dashed vertical line separating in-sample optimization from out-of-sample walk-forward testing.
  • βš“ ANCHOR (100% UNSEEN): Teal dashed vertical line and shaded zone showing forward holdout performance.
  • β–Ό MAX DD BOUNDARY: Crimson dashed horizontal line marking the strategy's worst-case peak-to-trough drawdown floor.

πŸ’» Part 3: Expert & Developer Specification

1. Architecture: High-Performance Streaming Pipeline

The streamer server is engineered with zero dependencies outside the standard Python library (http.server) and the existing repository core, ensuring the evolve supervisor retains 100% of CPU and RAM resources:

graph TD
    GA[Evolve Worker / supervisor.py] -->|Appends| Log[Logs/evolve_runs/.../*.log]
    GA -->|Appends| CSV[results/GA_RESULTS/PA/GA_RESULTS_*.csv]

    Serv[Backtesting/Streamer/server.py: Port 8055] -->|Scans Mtime| Log
    Serv -->|Tail Reads| CSV

    Serv -->|On New Apex| Rep[Fast Replay Engine: bt.run_backtest]
    Rep -->|0.3s Headless Replay| Parq[(Exports/Master/*.parquet: Master Cache)]
    Rep -->|Caches Equity Curve| RAM[(In-Memory Curve Cache)]

    Serv -->|GET /api/telemetry| Browser[OBS Studio / Web Browser Client]
    Browser -->|Draws HTML5 Canvas| Canvas[2D GPU-Accelerated Canvases]

2. Sub-Second Headless Apex Replay Engine

When a new apex record is mined in GA_RESULTS_*.csv: 1. server.py extracts the CLI configuration string from the record. 2. It parses arguments via scripts/extract_champion_daily_pnl.py:extract_engine_parser(). 3. It executes a single headless pass using backtest.run_backtest(df_exec, data_target, params, silent=True). 4. It intercepts _build_daily_summary_frame to extract daily PnL, compute cumulative equity $C_t = \sum \text{PnL}$, peak equity $P_t = \max(C_0 \dots C_t)$, and drawdown $D_t = C_t - P_t$. 5. The result is cached in _CACHED_APEX_REPLAY[uid], consuming approximately 0.3 seconds total and zero subsequent CPU cycles.

3. Canvas Rendering & Responsive Grid

The frontend uses standard HTML5 Canvas 2D contexts rather than heavy charting frameworks (e.g. Chart.js, Plotly) to minimize memory consumption and maintain 60 fps rendering: * matrix-canvas: Ambient matrix cybernetic particle effect (85 low-weight particles). * radar-canvas: Phenotype opportunity vs. risk scatter plot with pulsating radius indicators. * convergence-canvas: Monotonic gradient fill under the score trajectory with historic evaluation markers. * fleet-canvas: Extended $764 \times 200\text{ px}$ canvas rendering cumulative tick profit, vertical phase dividers (Train, OOS, Anchor), and the crimson dashed drawdown floor.

4. Process Management & Verification

To run or restart the server in the background:

# 1. Check if server is running
ps aux | grep "[s]erver.py"

# 2. Start streamer server as daemon
./py.sh Backtesting/Streamer/server.py &

# 3. Test telemetry JSON endpoint
curl -s http://localhost:8055/api/telemetry | jq .setup
